RAV Update November 2017

In November, the last heifer from the group of registered Limosin stock delivered a healthy bull calf. He was quite large and therefore his mother required assistance in his delivery. We are happy to report mom and baby are doing well!

Another thing ranch hands have been working on the past couple months is seeding the irrigated pasture ground for winter. Crimson clover, daikon radish, and rye grass can be seen sprouting up all over ranch headquarters. We praise God for sufficient water and abundant sunlight to grow the grass needed to feed our growing herd.

We were also blessed to give several tours this past month as the PCLM board members were in town for a board meeting and CVE hosted a work team in which several members showed interest in the ranch project.

RAV October 2017

The month of October was a month full of doing what must be done. Sometimes, during the busier months what is necessary, but not urgent gets pushed to the back burner for a while. Thankfully, there are also slower months in which such tasks can be completed.

Another calf was born this month. Mom and baby are looking great!

And if you'll remember, the group of Limosin mothers with their first calves were transported to the big mountain ranch, Rancho Ojo de Agua. Two different times this month, Limón had an opportunity to ride out and check how they are adjusting to the new terrain. We are happy to report that all are doing well!
