Fatted Calf News
During the month of October, temperatures have finally begun to drop a bit. After a ride up at the big ranch, Rancho Ojo de Agua, we are happy to report healthy cows, calves, and bulls all around!
Down at Rancho Agua Viva headquarters, we had a few days of high water in the river due to lots of rains in the surrounding mountains. We praise God for his protection as the only thing lost is a bit of fence!

This fall employees from Carnisimo (meat plant), Carnisimo Burgers, and Rancho Agua Viva are taking the course based on Steven Covey’s book “7 Habits of Highly Effective People”. Each of the 7 Habits are based on principles of effectiveness, paradigms that are aligned with principles, and practices that produce effective results.
The team meets every Monday and Thursday afternoon for 5 weeks in Carnisimo’s conference room.
“We are doing this training not only to help us be a better company, but also to improve the lives our our employees both at work and at home.”
