TFC adds a new staff member

Amanda McClure - The Fatted Calf's most recent team-member.

Amanda moved to Mexico in March 2018; however, she is no stranger to the Magdalena area.  With a heart for missions, Amanda volunteered on mission trips to local orphanages for many years.

As God called her to join The Fatted Calf team, she has worn many different hats and has picked up a variety of "loose ends" representing the breadth of her talent.

Amanda grew up near Congerville IL.  She showed purebred Suffolk Sheep around the country with her family.  As she got older, she became heavily involved in 4-H and FFA, experiencing many different project areas and competitions. She attended Illinois Central College and Illinois State University where she pursued a degrees in Agriculture Education and Spanish.  For five years she taught high school Agriculture Education classes and advised FFA activities and for 2 years prior to moving to MX, she worked as a floral designer.

My love for agriculture, mentoring kids, and serving the Lord led me here to work in Magdalena. I am amazed at how the Lord has used Expo to provide a framework for personal growth in the lives of the kids here.
— Amanda McClure

The Fatted Calf is blessed to have Amanda join the team as we seek to develop leadership and career opportunities for under-privileged youth and the community of Magdalena

RAV: May 2018 Update

Near the beginning of the month, Limón was able to ride out on the rented ranch, Rancho Ojo de Agua, to check on the commercial herd and the bulls. Below are photos from his ride.
